Music used to be everything. Days, evenings, and nights, weekdays and weekends were dedicated to music. Listening, rehearsing, playing, planning, arranging, and touring. Our music and others' music. Then came work, family, and age. Somehow, music slipped away from us but remained in everyday life, like a subtle background presence. Yet, the longing to create music together again grew stronger. The kids got older, the job was just a job, and age—well, who cares about that?
For about seven challenging years, we've occasionally gathered on an island in the archipelago to spend time together, cook good food, and play music. At first, it was fairly aimless, but it grew on us. We found bits and pieces here and there worth developing. It became something. Quite varied and scattered. But that's how we are. With our music. It's like life. It's varied too. And everything turns out fine. Almost always.
